ThirdSite Partners with Canadian Collegiate League (CCL)

Ottawa, August 26, 2026 — ThirdSite, a Canadian Counter-Strike community organization based in Ottawa, is proud to announce a new partnership with the Canadian Collegiate League (CCL) for the upcoming 2026–27 season.

The partnership will bring together two organizations working to grow the Canadian Counter-Strike community, with a particular focus on increasing visibility for collegiate Counter-Strike across Canada.

Throughout the season, ThirdSite will work closely with CCL to share information about the CCL Counter-Strike 2 league, highlight participating teams and players, and showcase notable matches, results, and storylines to the broader Canadian Counter-Strike community.

Teams interested in competing in the CCL Counter-Strike 2 league can register [here].  Applications close September 17, 2026.

CCL will also support ThirdSite through its social media and Counter-Strike broadcasts, helping introduce ThirdSite to the collegiate esports audience and create further connections between the two communities. The partnership will also provide opportunities for both organizations to collaborate on content throughout the season.

“We’re extremely happy to be working with CCL and to have the opportunity to expand our coverage of Counter-Strike in Canada,” said Jack “eviljonbob” Nicol, Founder of ThirdSite. “Our goal with ThirdSite is to become a platform that covers all levels of Counter-Strike across the country, and working closely with CCL gives us an opportunity to connect with the post-secondary side of the scene. We’re excited to share more of what’s happening in the collegiate scene here in Canada, highlight the players and teams competing in the league, and help bring that side of the community to a wider audience.”

“The CCL is extremely excited to work with ThirdSite as the official coverage partner for our CS2 league”, said Patryk “Rex0” Surowiak, Chief Marketing Officer of the CCL. “Having come from a background in top-level collegiate Counter-Strike myself, I know just how much student-athletes value media coverage and the visibility it gives them. We hope that this partnership will not only help grow the Canadian collegiate Counter-Strike community, but that it will also provide new pipelines for the growth of Canadian Counter-Strike overall.”
