ThirdSite Unveils First Competitive Counter-Strike Roster

Ottawa, May 14th 2026 — Canadian Counter-Strike organization ThirdSite is proud to announce the signing of Freaky Five, a fully Canadian Counter-Strike roster based out of the Maritimes. This marks the first official competitive Counter-Strike team to represent ThirdSite.

The roster will compete in ESEA Main Season 57 as well as the NSTLGA League Sapphire Conference under the ThirdSite banner. The team will also be attending the upcoming LAN ETS event in Montreal.

This signing represents a major milestone for ThirdSite as the organization continues expanding its support of Canadian Counter-Strike beyond events, community initiatives, and news coverage.

A New Chapter for ThirdSite

“I’m incredibly excited for this opportunity to have a fully Canadian team representing ThirdSite in Counter-Strike.

This is something I’ve been thinking about for a long time, but there was never really the right opportunity to make it happen. When this opportunity came together, I couldn’t pass it up.

Having a team that both we and Canadian fans can get behind means a lot, especially because fully Canadian rosters are rare. What makes this roster even more unique is that every player resides in the Maritimes.

For many people, ThirdSite has primarily been associated with Ottawa, with some presence in Toronto and Montreal as well, so this is an exciting expansion into the Maritimes and an opportunity to showcase some of the best up-and-coming talent the region has to offer.

Supporting Canadian Counter-Strike has always been our mission. Running events, covering Canadian CS news, and building community connections were natural first steps.

Adding a competitive team feels like the next evolution of that vision, and we’re very excited for what’s ahead.

We’ll continue supporting Canadian Counter-Strike through events and community coverage while also following and supporting our own team. We’ll be working to stream as many matches as possible using our in-house broadcast talent alongside our partners at True North Studios to make it easy for fans to follow the team throughout the season.”

— Jack “eviljonbob” Nicol, Founder of ThirdSite

ThirdSite plans to support the roster through match broadcasts, media coverage, branding initiatives, and future community partnership opportunities as the organization continues investing in Canadian Counter-Strike.

Khvostov on Joining ThirdSite

“We are ecstatic to be joining ThirdSite as their first ever competitive roster. I first started competing seriously and formed Freaky Five after attending my first local lan in Halifax, and experiencing the welcoming and competitive environment that CS in a local community brings.

ThirdSite aims to bring that same level of community to Ottawa and the rest of Canada, which is why we are so happy to be able to support that vision by giving the fans someone to rally behind, while being able to receive the support we need while we chase our dreams of bringing Canada to the global stage of Counter Strike.

We hope to make you all proud during our journey under this banner and appreciate all the support from the fans along the way.”

— Jaxen “Khvostov” Sellars, ThirdSite (Rifler)
