Canadian esports production organization True North Studio and CounterStrat have officially announced the True North x CounterStrat Summer Clash, a free-to-enter online CS tournament taking place on August 15–16, 2026.
Open to teams across NA, the event will feature eight teams competing for a $750 CAD prize pool in a single-elimination bracket held over two days. Organizers also plan to broadcast as many matches as possible throughout the tournament on their stream.
The tournament is designed to welcome players of all skill levels, from pug stacks and open teams to more established ESEA league rosters.
Competition will use the current Active Duty map pool, though organizers have stated that Cache will be added should Valve return the map before the event. While no changes have been confirmed by Valve, Active Duty map pool changes have followed the conclusion of recent Majors.

"I am really excited to announce the True North X CounterStrat Summer Clash Series. I've always wanted to do more for the NA Counter-Strike scene and I think that this is the perfect first step not only for myself, but for the Studio as a whole. We really want to do something unique and we believe that this tournament provides players a place to compete and have fun on a short-term scale. We are hoping to have all if not most matches covered on stream and are expecting really great competition over the course of 2 days."
